- Subject to Restrictions and Exceptions:

  • Customers must begin their land records research by 2:30 p.m.
  • Research and Copy Services
    end at 4:00 p.m.
  • Title Company Customers may begin research as early as 8:00 a.m.
  • Genealogy Tourists, Visiting Scholars, and Out of Town Customers (80+ Miles distance) may begin research as early as 8:00 a.m. by appointment. Call 314.589.8174

The Archives Department has two Microfilm Readers available for customer research.

  • Use of Microfilm Readers is on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Appointments to reserve a Microfilm Reader are only made for research by Genealogy Tourists, Visiting Scholars, and Out of Town Customer (80+ Miles distance) between 8-9 a.m. Call 314.589.8174.

  • When the number of customers desiring time on a Microfilm Reader exceeds the available Microfilm Readers, Customers may be asked to share machines at half hour rotations.

The Archives Department has one Microfilm Reader-Printer for use by only Recorder and Registrar Staff. 

Customer is required to provide Land Records Book and Page information for record retrieval or copy service.

Archives Staff may conduct research for fee that is purely for genealogical or historic scholarly purposes. The Staff is prohibited from conducting a title search, an easement search, legal research for a lawsuit/court case, or other research relating to question of legal title, property boundaries, or deed restrictions.
