1813-1854 Marriage Contracts
Recorded in St. Louis

Prior to 1881, when Missouri established a Marriage Application and License process for county Recorders of Deeds, marriage ceremony information was recorded in County Marriage Registers.

In St. Louis, in addition to the recording of marriage ceremony information, Marriage Register Books 3, 4, 5, and 6 were also the location for recordation of Marriage Contracts.

128 couples recorded 130 Marriage Contracts for the years 1813 to 1854.
The records were re-indexed in 2011 by St. Louis City Recorder and Registrar Archivist Terry Garrett.
