- Subject to Restrictions and Exceptions:

  • Customers with four or more marriage records to research must begin their research by 2:30 p.m.
  • Research and Copy Services
    end at 4:00 p.m.
  • Title Company Customers may begin research as early as 8:00 a.m.
  • Genealogy Tourists, Visiting Scholars, and Out of Town Customers (80+ Miles distance) may begin research as early as 8:00 a.m. by appointment. Call 314.589.8174.

The Archives Department has two Microfilm Readers available for customer research.

  • Use of Microfilm Readers is on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Appointments to reserve a Microfilm Reader are only made for research by Genealogy Tourists, Visiting Scholars, and Out of Town Customer (80+ Miles distance) between 8-9 a.m. Call 314.589.8174.

  • When the number of customers desiring time on a Microfilm Reader exceeds the available Microfilm Readers, Customers may be asked to share machines at half hour rotations.

The Archives Department has one Microfilm Reader-Printer for use by only Recorder and Registrar Staff.
