Missouri
The State of Missouri did not require registration of deaths until 1910.
Certified Copies of Birth Certificates are issued by the State and
County Health Departments, except in the City of St. Louis where the
Recorder of Deeds is Vital Records Registrar. As of 02.28.2010, the Missouri Department of Health requires notarized signatures for Mail-In Customers and photo identification for Walk-In Customers.
