Establish an Escrow Account
With the St. Louis City
Recorder and Registrar


  • An Escrow Account is a convenient way for high volume recording and document copy customers to pay for services provided by the St. Louis City Recorder and Registrar

  • An Escrow Account is required for
    e-Recording Services

To Open An Escrow Account:

1. A Business must request in writing, on company letterhead, the opening of an Escrow Account in its name.

 

  • A company officer or designee must sign the Request Letter.

  • The Request Letter must include
    • company name
    • company street address
    • company phone number
    • name of company contact
    • daytime phone number for company contact

2. Request Letter must be accompanied by a Business Check- made out to Recorder of Deeds- in an amount greater than $100, the minimum balance at all times for an Escrow Account for Recorder services.

3. Request Letter must be accompanied by Escrow Account Agreement signed by company officer or designee.

 

By establishing an Escrow Account for Recorder services, the company agrees to the following:

  • The company agrees to refrain from making charges on the account during the last hour of business, between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.;

  • The company agrees to maintain a balance on the account at all times of at least $100.

Bring or Mail Request Letter, Signed Agreement, and Check to:
