More Marriage Contract Indexing And
City Hall History and Art Content Added To
Recorder and Registrar Website

Genealogy and historical researchers can now review indexing for Marriage Contracts dated 1813 to 1854 on the St. Louis City Recorder and Registrar's website. The indexing is located at the Archives Department Marriage Contracts page.

Photographs and information on St. Louis City Hall's World War I Memorial, Recorder of Deeds mural by Joseph Bufalo, Cornerstones of Courage and Culture mural by Kenneth Calvert, Depression Era Public Works of Art Project murals by Carl Bonfig, the statue of U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant by Robert Porter Bringhurst, and statue of St. Louis founder Pierre Laclede by George Julian Zolnay have been added to the St. Louis City Recorder of Deeds website.

The Archives Department staff have also begun posting copies of historic St. Louis City land deeds, including documents relating to City Hall and St. Louis City Parks. The latest entries include some land deeds relating to the City's Carondelet Park, Forest Park, and Lyon's Park.

These features are located on the Recorder and Registrar's St. Louis City Hall History and Art page.
