An Officer Lost – Condolences from Recorder Butler

As Recorder of Deeds for the City of St. Louis, I want to express my deepest condolences to the family of officer David Lee and the entire St. Louis community .  As you may have learned, David, an 18-year veteran of the SLMPD,  was struck and killed by a driver on Interstate 70 on Sunday morning. He was 44 years old. As a fellow public servant, I understand the weight of such a loss on both personal and communal levels. In moments like these, it is crucial that we come together as a community to support one another.
