Recorder Butler Hosted Pride Celebration at St. Louis City Hall!

On Monday, June 26, Recorder Butler was joined by Aldermen Rasheen Aldridge and Shane Cohn for a spectacular Pride Celebration at St. Louis City Hall. The event attracted hundreds of St. Louisians, both in person and through the live stream on Facebook and YouTube. Attendees were treated to sensational musical performances by Po Mia and the Divas of the Grove.

The Pride Celebration also included a special award ceremony, where LGBTQ+ community leaders were recognized for their ongoing contributions to St. Louis. This year's deserving recipients included Alex Johnmeyer, co-founder of the Metro Trans Umbrella Group; Mo Costello, owner of Mokabe's Coffee House; Luka Cai, Executive Director of the St. Louis Queer+ Support Hotline (SQSH); Willow Rosen, Planned Parenthood educator; and Andrew Shaughnessy, founder of Limitless Horizons Consulting Firm.

"Our PRIDE Celebration is all about embracing inclusivity and championing equality, love, and dignity for all individuals and families," stated Recorder of Deeds Butler. "I am truly honored to stand beside Aldermen Aldridge and Alderman Cohn as we unite against prejudice and highlight the shared values that bring our community together. In St. Louis, we firmly believe that love will always prevail."

The PRIDE Celebration received generous support from Trans Education Service LLC (TES), the St. Louis LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, and Tower Grove Pride.
